question on the x70

I was out today and kept getting a weird signal that I can't explain. It sounds sort of like the machine is swallowing funny. I really can't describe the sound. Starts out high and goes low all the sudden.

Is this trash? oh and another question, does a ring make a solid sound or is it like a double beep?

Thanks

I'm not sure if I can help you out on the weird noise. It's possible that the sensitivity is too high. The ground balance might be out and need redoing or if you have a mobile phone on you, it may be causing some interference, but a noise cancel might help out there.
Rings tend to hit like coins with a solid hit. If a coin is real close to the surface, then they can give a double beep, but tend to be more stable than a pull tab eta.
Mick Evans.

LOL Thanks Mick, I did have a cell phone on me. Perhaps that was interfering. I didn't think about the noise canceling feature, I forgot about that.

Thanks again for answering, I really appreciate it.
