question on the v3

You will have to ask them John. People do that to all detector purchases, yes, even the F-75 that you are so fond of. I know one user who sold both of his F-75's to buy a V3 and couldn't be happier. If you are here to start trouble, please move on.

I'm selling mine because I simply made an impulse purchase. I have a friend that has an E-trac and we will be hunting together and comparing notes. My reason was totally personal preference. I think the V3 is a wonderful machine, but I do not have the time to learn both. However, that being said I will keep it before I get hammered on price.

No Larry I not here to start anything . But you know this is the USA and I do have the right to ask a question. And yes I do like the f75 , but think the DFX & v3 should be a very good detector. And thinking very hard about getting one. Thanks for the comment.

As many reasons as there are people....who have as varied of reasons for submitting posts. Sounds like your running good stuff so...if your good...you don't have to look over your shoulder. (But soon....when you least exxxxpect it...............we'll be there :detecting:!

I would say they are intimidated by what they see as the complexity of the Spectra. They look at all the parameters that can be changed and think there is no way I can learn this. I had doubts myself the first few hours but after about 8hrs things got better. Still have a long way to go but I think I have the basics down.

Could be a lot of reasons. It is possible that the wife had a fit when they came home with the new box and found out how much it was. I think the main reason may be over intimidation. When you read through the manual online, the V3 sounds very complicated and like it is very hard to use, and they don't give it a chance. To the contrary, the V3 seems to be the closest White's has ever come to turning out a high line "Turn-On-and-Go" detector. Much more so than the DFX. However, the V3 also gives you the options available to go in and tweak performance to the max.
