Question on the Original Golden Sabre, GS Plus and GS II

the same search coils. The Golden Sabre Plus operated at a higher frequency, but that doesn't really matter all that much due to the circuitry design Tesoro used. That is, they are not crystal-controlled but rather a PPL or LCO principle.

The Golden Sabre & Golden Sabre Plus came standard with the open-center WHITE 8" coil, while the Golden Sabre II sported the newer BROWN open-center 8". Aside from cosmetics, and a few subtle circuitry differences (such as the last two models having the dual tone audio) and the Golden Sabre II having the broader acceptance range ED-120 Discrimination, I found these models to do fairly well in most 'typical' coin hunting applications. I preferred to use the 7" concentric coil on each of them, just as I did most Tesoro models.

They will use all the same coils as the other general application models, to include the 4", 7" concentric & widescan, 8", 8x9, 8

I think I read that you can get an external ground balance unit for the GS plus to ground balance the all metal mode is this true if so are they still available
