Question on the MXT

A

I have a Garrett GTI 2500 and I do not find that it handles trashy areas real well.
Would the MXT be a better choice for these trashy areas? or would I want to go with a higher end detector?
My experience is limited. I had a Compass Coin Magnum back in 1982 or so, after several trips back to Compass I gave up.
I am taking up the hobby again, and am about to retire, soI would like to purchase a machine that would be a good choice in trashy areas.

Thanks Richard
I bought a 5X10 scorcher, maybe I should give it another try!
Or would the smallest one be better...I believe its only $70-$80.
