Question on shortening the cable on a CZ coil

Neil

Well-known member
If I shorten the cable on a CZ coil, will this effect the performance or ID read in any way?
Ive done it on Sov coils and had no performance decrease at all.

Thank you,
Neil

Unless your real handy with soldering equipment a poor solder joint could cause problems...Might look into having a pro do the job...Most TV repair and the like will do it for a modest price and check the joints...matter of fact the rod mount only CZ7 and CZ7A had a short cord and used them on long corded CZ's with no problems...

Soldering isnt a problem at all, I was wondering if the coil was tuned to a certain length cable. Ive got the complete setup for doing this and will do it and let you know how it works out.
