Question on SE coil

Johnny

New member
I'm using a x5 coil know. The question is if I go to a sunray 8" coil would the nulling get better or worse?? ( would the 8" coil have less nulling in trash)

The size and shape of a coil does matter. Any time the coil goes deeper or has more to process then falsing and nulling is an issue. Opening up the disc will play a bigger part in lessing your nulling. Im not big on AM and hunt with a modified nails disc only. However, you have to be willing to adjust to the area you are hunting with the pattern you use.

Thanks for the INFO. I have been in iron mask at 25 , but will try to go up some. I do hunt where it is a lot of trash. Thanks

We actually run our iron mask at 27 even in the really trashy areas that we hunt, like the camping beaches where there are a lot of nails and trash from campfires and such.
