Question on MXT

Hi Johnny,

There isn't an "all-metal" mode on the MXT, perse. There are three operating modes. Coin/Jewelry, Relic and Prospecting. The meter functions with all three modes, however the Prospecting mode displays a numeric iron percentage rather than an ID reference. The Relic mode is really what is called a "mixed mode" in that it actually operates in an "all-metal" mode while simultaneously operating in the Discriminate mode. Some don't like the "noise", but that mode gives the most audio information about the target. Ferrous targets have a low tone, while non-ferrous targets have a high tone which makes it easy to identify non-ferrous, co-located, targets amongst the iron.

Hope this helps,
OldeTymer
