Question on how to cash in on the 18K gold on several hundred SS charms I have???

Each one has a small 18K letter or jeweled 18K setting attached like pictured. Thanks in advance for your help.
PS The gold is fixed to the SS very well.

They will have to go to a smelter/refiner like Mid States Recycling Ray. You would probably make more money by selling them as is on Ebay to a speculator though. Even though it is 18K it is probably only a couple of mils thick and a refiner might not even want to mess with them. I would give Mid States a call and see what they say, good guys there.

I sent some stuff like that into ARA http://www.aragold.com/
They just used their acids to break down the gold off the item and I got paid fer it. ARA is the best bang fer yer wares mate. The rest'll hose ye...savvy?

Yes, I use Fedex Ground insured. They are the best I've found. Any place else has been a miserable experience. Even when I was not pleased ARA made it right.

You would think they could get the gold off SS . I could understand them not wanting to fool with a few pieces but I told them I had close to a thousand units.

On their web site under FAQ it says they do not accept gold or silver plated, or gold filled.

Aside from them not wanting to take all the gold filled jewelry and plated spoons I've found, my dealings with them have provided me with excellent results. I'm sure they have their reasons, and it may be due to their processing costs and small margins as to why they don't want to handle lots that have a small percentage of gold or silver. I plan to continue using their services for what they will process and hang on to the stuff they don't want to process until I find a reasonable alternative.
