Question On Garrett Master Sound Headsets Supplied By Garrett???

I have been using the Master Sound headsets for many many years, as Garrett often supplies them with a lot of their various metal detectors? They have always seemed to hold up well, had been water dunked with no consequences and have been repaired by myself a couple of times. Sometimes I wonder if I am missing out on some benefits of other brands. Some of the electronic stores have walls covered with different makes and models, some costing very little, while others in the hundreds of dollars.
So.........are you using your Master Sound headsets currently, or have you opted to use another brand? If so why? Were the new brands expensive? Large cuffs, small cuffs, duel volume controls? Were the other brands much better? What would you suggest?

Father's day is soon coming and my wifey wants some information.....

I use the Master Sound headphones, and like them, although they can get very hot. One thing I have noticed about them, when compared to another cheap brand I have used, is that the Master Sound's do not produce the same exact noise that the md makes without the headphones. The more expensive, say $150 brands may do a better job at replicating the noise and finding whisper signals, although I have no experience with them. This is just my guess. HH and GL

John,
Have used a lot of Garrett and Whites headphones. Once I started using these it's been much better. Sound and fit quality is 10 times better than the two I mentioned. Plus the cord is long enough!

I use mine all the time, have for number of years now, on all kinds of detectors, I have other makes, including Killer B's but just like the Garretts best, for tone and all else, they're OK

Does anyone know of a headphone for one ear? I have been startled by people coming up behind me and I didn't hear them because of my headphones.
So far no problem. Maybe the next one will want this old dude's metal detector. I'v already had a guy, on a bicycle, try to intimadate me to get my cellphone from me. He backed off when I asked him if he wouldn't rather have my "Lesche" that I showed him. I think I would like to play it safe and keep an ear open.
Any help appreciated. Gene

I like the Garrett headphones but they sure are hot during the summer and early fall. I would like to have a cordless headset with small ear type headphones with some sort of volume control, but then I couldn't afford them anyway. Guess I'll stick with what I have, but I miss my wide brim hat when the suns out. I wear a bill cap with a large bandana. Someone said I might get mistaken for a gang member, but I've been wearing these bandanas all my life and how many 59 year old white gang members do you see in the crips or bloods?
