question on garrett:confused:

IS the Garrett 7 x the same as ads 7?,also how do you rate the 10"x7" elliptical coil,would appreciate the feedback.cjm

I have an ACE 7x10 elliptical concentric coil on the ACE 400. I have used it a couple of times and find that it discriminates the crown bottle caps better than the DD coil. It "air" test at 6 1//2 to 7" on a dime. Really don't have a lot of time on it to give you any detailed info. It is also available for sale. Ron

This looks like the coil I am getting on the masterhunter 7 x .I s this a proformance coil or d.d. coil?

That is a PROformance coil. Concentric. These were standard coils equipped on the late model GTAX 750,1250 and CX Plus. 5 pin female connector. This coil will work on a multitude of Garrett metal detectors that were equipped with the original Crossfire series coils.

Thank you for the answer not knowing anything on garretts,became confused.I wish other brand detectors had a wide rage of of using coils
