question on F4

How many frequency do the f 4 have 1 or 2? And what kind of depth do you get on a dime with a I think 4" coil? thanks

Hi Johnny,

The F4 is a single frequency detector. I don't have a 4" coil yet, but the 8" that comes with it gets around 8" in my soil, and the 11" DD coil gets 9 to 10 inches on a dime... (sometimes more, sometimes less depending on where I'm hunting). The F4 is also very good at picking out targets that are located very close together... and the ID has been extremely accurate...I've been having a blast with mine! Hope this helps...

Hunted with the 4" today for about 1.5 hr. this was the first time I used it, the deepest dime I found so far was at 4" I feel like it will go to about 6" the single was very strong at 4"

For those that are using the F4 I have had several faint singles on deep coins
What I mean by that its a high tone but doesn't bang your ears. It less than half as loud as the normal tone.

one ID dime # at 72 after 5 inches of the hole removed it ID quarter #79 the quarter was 8 inches deep. I was using the 8" round coil.

The same thing happen on a dime first id dime at #68 faint tone after 4" of the hole removed it ID # 71 the dime was 7 inches deep.

The more I use the F4 the more I like it. it very well could be the best detector I ever owned. right now I wouldn't trade it for anyting.

will hold an accurate ID even deeper than the 8". I'm not sure if that's just due to the larger size, or if it's a characteristic of the DD coil itself... The F4 keeps moving up my "list" of favorite detectors! No easy feat considering the competition costs twice as much :)

haven't got that faint single but two or three times just letting you know about it, maybe the coin was up on the edge or something. but if its a hi tone repeat DIG IT.

I Can't imagine how deep that DD will go. I haven't played with it much,
you always hear or read about all the BS about how deep one will go, I have no doubt about this one.

Having to much fun with the 8" round pin pointing is so easy, it always is dead center in the coil.

The F4 is the best "bang for the buck" on the market...period. Heck, so far, it "outbangs" a lot of "higher buck" detectors in my stable...
