Question on depth indicator

Is the Ex II depth indicator pretty accurate on coils having a diameter larger or smaller than the standard coil? For example, is the depth reading accurate with the WOT coil?

yes it does get affected somewhat... I dont use the meter very much.. I prefer to use volume to determine depth

After searching the front yard of an 1800's home and digging mostly all deep signals I went to the back where the carport is and I noticed all the clad was reading alot deeper than it was. So I LIFTED THE COIL UP OFF THE GROUND to determine the depth. It was only accurate on coins laying on top. After the hunt he told me that the smaller coils read deeper than the target actually is, that makes me think the WOT would read shallower than the target is. Did you find this to be true?
I then went over the front with my XS with standard 10 12 coil and didn't find one coin. That 8" Sunray goes deep!! And the XSII has that Ferrous visual ID which really helps determine whether to dig the deep iffy targets, putting it at 2nd on my must have list right after the X1 probe, the X1 is awesome and a must for deepseeking.
HH, Greg.
