Anyone with experience using the CZ7a Pro tell me what to expect on depth on coin size targets? Will sending it to Fisher for a check up help in anyway? It appears to be working fine but I am questioning whether its getting proper depth. Thanks.
Yes...I am constantly digging copper pennies at 8", and dimes at 10 inches...deepest diems are about 14"///You better be prepared to go deep, or go home...
You got some good info and to me appears your unit is doing just fine so leave well enough alone and enjoy a fine unit..Practice the bobbing method with the volume and sens at 10 so you can finely ground balance it as it equates to depth and stable unit..Try to run sens. at least at 6 if you can and have a stable unit and buy a longer digger...
From 20 years plus of using CZ's they usually will go deeper than they will air test but again its the the nut behind the wheel and experience that count and do go slow as it equates to superior depth...
Man this hits home as I just picked up a CZ-7a Pro. I haven't got it yet,But it is on the way. I already have a CZ-3D But always wanted aCZ 7a Pro. I had a CZ-70 Pro,But couldn't run it past 4 sens. while my buddy had a CZ-7a Pro he could run all the way up to 8 sens. in non trash area's. It was one of the hottest CZ's I ever saw. So when I got a chance to pick one up at a good price I decided to take a shot as I always wondered if he just had a hot one or not? Anyways it is nice to have one rainproof detector.
My CZ pro has been acting up, and I could never run my sensitivity past 4 as well, in mineralized soil. Heard that might be normal for some units. Anyways
before the problems, I have found coins with a lower sens as deep as 10 inches. Iron as deep as 16. WIth the problems of tone and broken battery clips,
I can still hit coins at 8 inches.
