Question on battery

By "regular batter" you mean an Alkaline, NiCd or NiMH. the answer would be NO.
Otherwise:
I would say no for the average detectorist. Number one, the batteries are proprietory. number two the replacement would have to be an exact replacement, size and compatible with the internal charging circuit. That being said, if there is a will there is a way.

You might want to start a new separate post for you question. Maybe try to be a little clearer and someone will help you.

Do you have sound from the speaker?

If so follow directions on page 42 and 53 of the full manual.
You can download the manual form Minelab.com

Be sure the + button on the headphones is been pressed to increase the volume after all the above has been verified.

If all fails contact Minelab.
