QUESTION ON ANDERSON SHAFT EXTENSION FOR EXCAL

larryw

New member
I'm considering purchasing a straight shaft for my excal 1000. I've noticed that there are several offerings on ebay. Most are in the $70-$80 range. Also listed is the Anderson Shaft Extension item no. 200165531946, which, according to the seller, is attached directly to the S rod and uses the arm cuff bolt to secure it. It is offered "buy it now" for only $29.99 plus shipping. Can you experienced Excal users who use a straight shaft advise me on what you consider the best to buy and if anyone out there is using the Anderson Shaft Extension, can you please give us your perception of the product? Thanks to all!

I use the anderson straight long shaft...

Can hunt for hours ..

You must bolt the bottom shaft..just drill holes and use stainless bolts...Look at the top left of the bottom picture

I had the Florida straight shaft where the pod and battery mount in back of the arm cuff. It is very well balanced, but the only draw back and it depends on your build, is the machine will hit you in the back on every swing. Not everyone has this problem and is bothered by it.

I now have the lighting rod by DeMarco Detector sales......the pod and battery mount underneath the arm cuff and is very comfortable. It is very well built, has an excellent grip and has a good finish on it. I definately would recommend this one because of it's compact nature and superior quality.
