Question on 9V batteries

I have a Fisher CZ21 and am wondering if there are any 9 volt rechargables out there that will be OK to use in the detector. Sorry if this question has already been answered, but I am looking for recommendations from the seasoned users of this CZ21.

about any good 9v will work, i use rechargeable all the time, try to get the highest run time as you can. Flintstone

This is what you want...Along with a GOOD smart charger...This is the ONLY true 9.6V rechargeable...

HH,

For some reason rechargeable 9 volts don't work as well as other battery sizes in any unit...I stick with good alkalines for CZ's myself but perhaps one of the members can come up with a good name brand that works well for them...

The reason most 9V rechargeables do not work is because they are lower voltage...The PowerEx true 9.6V batteries hold a full 9.62 - 9.65 volt charge and perform as well as Alkalines.
Some (not all) rechargeable batteries are longer than normal alkalines and will NOT fit into drop in battery compartments (like the Fisher F2 and F4)...
