Question on 6t... wondering if I should use tracking....

lock or not on a fresh water ( or salt water beach for that matter ). ??? Are there advantages to using it, or would you be better off letting it track the ground/ sand??

Any thoughts.

Ground balance and then lock the tracking. I find that my 6T is a lot more stable when hunting with the tracking locked.

I have locked the detectors that I have used, (not a 6T) and I got better stability. There are some conditions that may warrant tracking to deal with changing ground conditions. I think you will just have to play it by ear Mark.
