Hello fellow detectorists,This question is for other Explorer XS users How do you manage without the ferrous number when running in digital mode? Do you switch too Iron mask too determine the iron content or do you just trust the detector? Im finding that i dig some deep iron ect that read as good targets. Thank You sasquache

When I had my XS, I ran with the pattern screen showing. I would only flip over to the digital mode if I was interested in the CO number before recovery.

You will notice that most detectors with an LCD screen only display a digital number for conductive. I would be confident once I learn what digital number goes with each target.
