So I am interested in finding out what some of you are talking about when you say that you are running the ctx 3030 at+3. Is it when you noise cancel then you turn the volume up three more clicks manually? Is the volume the gain? I am still trying to figure this thing out but having a great time doing it.

Like Copytech99 said it's the sensitivity setting you leave in Automatic and the machine goes where it likes. There is also +!<@<# settings higher and 3 settings - lower from the factory setting use depending on ground conditions. By setting at +3 your letting the machine punch higher than it would ordinarily in the soil conditions. There is also MANUAL and that is once you see on the screen where the machine is running you can switch to manual and try to run even higher if conditions will allow without too much noise chatter and such. I generally leave it in AUTO +3 as the machine runs smoothly as it seems to know best by reading the 3 channels it uses to see the ground conditions and reference where to run itself.
