Does your experience say better to seal your coil cover using a glue gun, silicone tube or something else or live with pulling the cover and dumping sand as machine starts acting up? I've been doing the latter but have time on my hands so kind of want to fix the problem. Thanks for all input.

Max used a great epoxy to fill in the "void" on his coil. I just took my cover off and tossed it in storage. Alhough I don't see it happening but if the coil breaks I'll just get it replaced. In the many years I've been detecting. I've only seen one Nautilus coil get cracked open and that was from an awkward fall crossing a creek.

Nasty coil break Max! I'm a "rubber" too vs a swinger (Ha!Ha!)so off to local Home Depot to find your epoxy. Thanks all!

Doe's this gluing of the coil cover apply to the Sov GT as well???

In other words do most of you do this with your coil cover?

Thanks, Gonzo

Max...aren't some coils solid resin (Tornado, WOT) ??

If they are, then they should last a long time ??

Tony.

Ditto on David's question, anyone know if just the covers are available through vendors? I just noticed my cover is starting to wear through at the edge. Thanks.
