Being in japan, I don't have much of a chance to test before I buy...Have always had Garrett and a couple of fishers...
I was wondering about the Surface Blanker. How well does ot work and is it worth using sometimes?

Never mind on the bi-level...I see by other post that there is one!

Thanks:detecting:

Surface blanking isn't very practical, as old coins can be found the top 2 inches and new coins can be found much deeper. It never really caught on, on any makes or models. I would never use it myself.

Yes, I feel the same way about not using it... I would only use it in a very few cases. Thanks for the input!
