Question from camera Newbie

I would like to take close up photos of mineral specimens X30(give or take). Is there a digital camera out there with an microscopic lens attachment that will do this? I did see one on the internet for a Nikon Coolpix 4500 using a Grayfield lens(The lens was kind of expensive at $880 or is it?). Here is the link for it.

What do you guys think? Any more like this?
Thanks
George

I know this is for a toy but it might get you started.
