Question for the people who have had the "falsing" repaired

I'm sorry to start another thread about this, but I need some advice. I still can't get my AT Pro to be quiet. I have tried everything, all the while being optimistic that my Pro doesn't have the falsing issues. I am realizing that it definitely has problems..I think? I have tried it indoors (I know that is a bad place to try it), and I have tried outdoors. We still have a couple feet of snow here, so trying it outside is frustrating. It doesn't seem to be extremely bad when gently scrubbing the ground (ice and snow), but the pro mode (and sometimes STD) seems to have a constant chatter which is annoying. Also I notice the same old falsing/belltone when even moderately twisting the shaft.

Am I being too picky, or are these things that should be fixed? I am new to detecting, I just started last summer, and I want to make sure I do the right thing with this AT Pro. I don't want to wait until April when I'm actually able to get out and use it, just to realize it needs to be sent to be fixed. Should I send it now??

Thanks..

Please call Garrett and discuss with them the situation you are having. They would be glad to help solve your issues. :)

Take it to a park or somewhere away from houses and stores. Ground balance it. I bet its quiet there. All my detectors chatter at my house indoors and out. Florescent lights, wireless routers, computers and lots of other stuff can contribute to the chatter. Try a PI sometime if you think the AT PRO is bad!

Thanks guys. I called them today, and they said to send it back and they will repair what ever is wrong. The man also said that they will send me a free gift to make up for me having to pay the postage to get it all the way down to Texas! They legendary Garrett customer service prevails again:thumbup:
