I've been reading about the 6" Excelerator coil you have been testing and can you tell me how it compares to the 4.5x7 Excelerator coil? I coin hunt in parks with a M6 and was thinking about purchasing an Excelerator coil. Should I wait for the 6" or go ahead an purchase the 4.5x7 .

Hi Tony, I think the 6"DD Excelerator coil I am evaluating for Kellyco compares very well with the 4.5X7 Excelerator. I also have the 4.5X7 coil and I would not be without it. The 6" is a really hot little coil and I have only been able to log about 10 hrs with it. It has good depth for a small coil. I let a friend use it with his White's DFX and he located a coin at about 7". I thought I was going to have to fight him to get the coil back,LOL. The 6" is thin, about 3/4" with coil cover and the 4.5X7 is about 1 1/8" thick with coil cover. I am going to shipit to have them weighed to find out the weight of each. The 6" has good target separation in high trash areas like the 4.5X7 and both work really well when working up against playground structures and metal fences. Both the 6" and the 4.5x7 pinpoint like they had rifle sights on them. Well as far as comparing them that is about the best I can do at this time. As far as when a 6" DD coil will be made available you might do well in contacting JW at Kellyco he would probably have that information. I would recommend that while you are talking with him to go ahead and order one as your won't be disappointed with either.LOL If you need further info let me know and HH Dennis in Idaho
