Question for Kellyco, JW or whomever

Ok this has been nagging me a bit.
When you first started selling the Detech brand coils you had some great prices. Now it seems to me that the price of these coils seems to be climbing higher than manufacturing and distribution costs would dictate. They are very good coils, but if the pricing continues the way it is, you are going to lose in the long run.
Price em more competetively and sell more in the long run, that is always a good policy that endears you to your customers. Price gouging is not, you're going to end up like the high priced poor selling H*t-Sh*t brand at the rate you are going.
I'm posting this on a public forum because I know what the response would be in a private email. Please take this as constructive criticism, which is the way it is meant.

And you will find they will "BLOW KELLYCO'S PRICES AWAY".
I called Kellyco about three weeks ago to negotiate buying the White's 10DD coil. They came down some but not enough for this "poor ole boy".
I sent an email to a dealer that frequents this forum and he blew their price to pieces. I ordered from him immediately.
Kellyco has a lot of stuff and I do use them at times but I am finding that their prices are a bit "pricey" at times.
If a smaller dealer, that doesn't deal in the volume that Kellyco deals in, gives you a better price then that should give you some indication of the prices that Kellyco are offering.
Why should you even have to barter with a big company? They should be offering the cheapest prices in town!

Well... not sure where you have been able to compare prices on the Detech ExCelerators since I think Kellyco is just about it except for the fellow in Florida that says he manufactures them (strange-thought they were German). Anyway- the prices are less than they used to be and I can tell you from experience, the price I got from JW was very, very nice. You don't have to buy a detector either- it is advertised that you don't and you still get a break, but he will probably do even better if you talk to him rather just say how pricey they are. How much would it cost you to make one and distribute?

ABC Warehouse has the same philosophy. Advertise that you have the best prices around when in fact you don't. Let me explain...
ABC's ads always say they have the best prices. If you do some research on a particular product and go into one of their stores you will be shocked at the sticker price they put on stuff. It ain't anywhere close to what the competition puts on the same thing. Sure, you can always get them to match the competition's price and perhaps even a little better by haggling. But here's what pizzes me off.
The sole philosophy behind there pricing strategy is to take advantage of the uninformed and make the big bucks. I talked to a distributors rep one time who was at a show and said that he overheard the owner of the ABC chain speaking to someone at the bar. The guy was bragging about how much money they make off the uninformed and impulse buyers.
Now I have to ask you a question, Is this right?
Hell no! People that do business based on that philosophy don't deserve my dollars even if they do give a break on the price when you complain. It should not be that way plain and simple. One fair low price for all and stop the bullsh*t.

I agree one price is best- but it is not a problem for me if they do say - "here's the price with a detector and here's the price if purchased alone".
It becomes a problem if you don't know you might do better talking to someone and ASKING if that's the best deal- they sometimes surprise you. Now tell me you've never asked that of a local dealer (not a giant ABC with fixed prices). Or a car dealer -
Unfortunately, with these coils your options are very limited, but that is the fault of the manufacturer. I doubt if Kellyco would drop a popular item because someone else carries them.
