Question for John-Edmonton

John(Tx)

New member
Hey John, just a curious question to see if you would know. I started out detecting back in '76 and used only Garretts, mainly the Groundhog, very good machine. Anyway, Garretts right hand man was a young engineer and just wondering what ever happened to him. Trying to remember his name, it was something like Dorian, Dorian Cook, sticks out but not sure if I am correct or not. He helped Garrett put on the International hunts at that time. Thanks and good hunting. John

If i remember right Dorian Cook broke of from garrett and started his own company called D-Tex which looked similiar to the garett groundhog in many ways if i recall and Dtex made a fine detector.I think there was another person along with Dorian that started D-tex......Im sure others on here will have more info on that as well....Markmac
