Hello,This is for you Techies that use Excalibur(1000)
Do you know what sort of Power draw these Machines have in Mil-Amps?
Thanks,Ken....

Hello,Art....Thanks for the Re...
Wow! I'm surprised at that.I had an SD2200d,which I upgraded to the 12v. System and in doing so,learned they used 600maH.
I was curious,Living here in South Costa Rica things are hard to get,and when my Re-chargeable Pod went South on me(after about 4 or 5 years)I decided to utilize this 12v.4.5Ah Motorcycle Batt that I had bought for the SD2200.I run the Excalibur Hip-Mounted with the Batt. at the small of my Back, all mounted on a Elastic "Back support Belt" used by People who do a lot of Lifting.I guess I won't be too concerned about the Batt. going Flat at Mid-Day!!!Ken.

Hello Ken, Where are you in Costa Rica? I am aways from retiring in Jaco and would like to know anything you would like to share. I've been metal detecting since 1966 and just bought an Excal 1000 a couple of months ago. I have been using it in fresh water swimming spots here in Northern California,
Thanks, Steven

Watch out for the rip tides though!
If you're looking for a nice retirement income/lifestyle, check out the nice people who own Auberge de Pelican. Beautiful little Inn on the water in Ensenada Este.

Cheers,
