Question for Doc

Andy can

New member
A couple of months ago, you suggested to repair a crack in the top of an ExII coil, cut some pieces of coil cover, and dissolve it in a________??? I've tried acryl-solv, and acetone, they don't dissolve or melt the bits of coil cover in 30 hours, what am I missing?

I'm not Doc, but my buddy had a similar problem and he just used a two part black epoxy and even went as far as to sand it down and buff it out. you cant even tell it was cracked unless your looking for it!
In my opinion, the epoxy would bond better then recycled plastic. And for sure it's water tight!
Best of luck to you !
Rusty from chicago.
