question??? for DFX users about FREQUENCY

O,k, according to the whites site , lower frequency is better at picking up silver and copper aloys have any of you DFX usersfound any difrence when hunting in 3Kh and then in 15 khz is one find coins better than the other ? this may explane why the xlt has some what of a advantige in certian finds it is at 6.5 khz so really it should be better at finding silver and the dfx in 3khz should really smoke on the coins YOUR INPUT PLEASE DFX PEOPLE

What advantage of the XLT are you referring to over the DFX?

welllll , 3khz gets deeper on silver and copper but bad on gold, 15khz gets better on gold but not on silver so the xlt is 6.5 khz so its all around a good frequincy but for deep silver the dfx whith the 3 khz whith the threshold on could go very deep deeper than the M-6 for shure on silver and most coins i wish i knew this stuff befor i would have got an DFX boo hoo

The M6 with the 6X10 I found a 10 inch dime.
To me amy detector that can find a dime that deep is one hell of a detector. My old XL PRO is one deeeep SILVER hunting detector also.
I had a DFX but for me MY XL PRO was finding deeper SILVER.
BUT THE DFX IS A VERY GOOD DETECTOR.I just know my XLPRO inside and out.
I also thank the M6 is a very hi ended detector with the 5.3 coil.
Any good detector will go deep if you LEARN it.

If the 3 Khz is great for copper and Silver in the +60 to the +95 range and the 15 Khz is great for the Gold, platinum and nickel in the +0 to +40 range.....well I guess the XLT WOULD excel in the +40 to +60 range with it's 6.5 Khz frequency.

Just giving you a hard time Gunnar.

Clondike clad nailed it. Any detector in the hands of someone who knows how to use it, has a great detector.

NO ofence taken , im new to theis machines but i heard that 3khz will go deeper on silver and copper do you have a dfx do some tests against the mxt the mine lab hunts in 3khz and they go deep i wish i could get a detector that would hunt in 8 khz o,k enuph of my speculations

3 KHz will go deeper under certain conditions, usually in highly mineralized ground, and sometimes not even then. The added depth is usually small and nothing to lose sleep over. You have a great machine Gunnar, learn it well and it will reward you with many, many years of enjoyment and great finds.

Yes, I have a DFX and I am the moderator of the DFX Users Classroom Forum. Stop over and say Hi sometime.

You forget... the DFX can hunt in BOTH 3kHz and 15kHz at the same time. Who has the advantage now? In some situations ,the XLT may have an advantage, but i think youd find the DFX the more flexable in most locations.

Hey dry up those BOOHOO's I have a great shape XLT I will trade you for that old no good DFX..HAHHAHAHAHAHAHA

Well i cant part with the DFX because i use it for the beach, but i have an older model bounty hunter id trade

HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH, Bounty Hunter Hu ???? (NOT) I was just kidding Gunnar about his BooHoo and aggravating him about the DFX...LOL
