Question for Deleon users

I have been useing my deleon for about six years, and every once in a while i will get a beep and a reading of 95 but cant pick it up again from any direction or speed, ground is neutral, have not been checking in all metal, may need to. Has anyone else had this happen? I keep thinking i may be missing something deep.

I've had similar occurrences with all my detectors. I think it may be small trash that gave a partial response before being discriminated out or possibly a ghost signal of some sort. Most times I haven't been able to pick it up with all metal either. PLUS without a consistent signal even if a very weak one, pinpointing to dig is pretty much impossible unless you're in an area that you can dig large holes. I haven't tried much to retrieve signals like that because if it's not repeatable how do you find it? Maybe others will jump in with more thoughts.

It sounds like a typical response to the end of a piece of iron bar or similar. They'll give off a good non repeating tone.
Mick Evans.

Hi, Next time it happens, try to remember to check the bars as well as the numbers. If you only get the one signal, then the bars may not reveal anything, but if you can wiggle another signal (either by lowering disc. or putting in AM) then the bars will most likely tell you if it's iron. I, like Barber Bill get such signals with nearly all my detectors: I put it down to fairies or ghosts.

lol, I call em Gremlins. I dont have a Tesoro but a hot rock can cause that also.
lotsa luck,
John
