hello i have a question i need a answer too i just got my cz 3-d with the stock 8 inch coil on friday and i took it out too give it a try well i ground balanced the detector and had all other settings on preset modes when it detectes a target it goes too high coin area and stays there until i pinpoint or get another signal such as nickle ect ect now it can be in inhance mode or salt mode now for my question should the indicator needle reset it self and go back down too iron area after no target detection?

Chuck is right. It will stay in the last target segment until it gets a new one. It's reacting fine. Mostly, ignore it and listen to the tones. Just look at it to verify the tone you heard.

Go and read the posts to learn about your 3D. When the 3D came out, I saved the most informative posts. Olde Tymer put my collection on his website.
