What do you use to create those neat little pictures of various patterns? They are both helpful and interesting. Thx.

My digital camera is not working very good after I le a friend use it out so I create an illustration in PAINT which is a program with Windows XP.
I think the bottom line with the patterns is there are 961 notches for acceptnace and rejecton. A single target uses 100 notches for an average of some kind. If those 100 notches are an average then that average can be found using a number of different notches within a location of the 10 by 10 matrix for a target. If the notches are different for a gold ring and a pulltab, which they are as far as I can tell, then if we edit the nothces we can find a matrix out of the 10 by 10 that will cause different tones for a gold ring and pulltab. That was the belief that started the quest for the matrix. It was fairly easy to find by learning a gold ring or pulltab then the small edit function and eliminate notches or points from the 10 by 10 matrix. We find an edited matrix that will sound a gold ring and pulltab differently so that we can clearly hear the difference. I then fine tuned the accepting of rings and rejection of pulltabs in the field. I tested this on know target in the soil and then in a park that is littered with trash and tons of tabs and within a half hour pulled out two rings. I only use this at sites with heavy trash and do very well with silver coins and rings that are mixed in with the heavy trash. I look for the areas with all the trash because that is where most user appear to avoid. There are areas at an old fair ground that are so full of trash that it looks like it has never beeen hunted. I pulled out some nice coins, silver, just before winter run me out. I ahve been refining this over the winter and am about ready to head out to the old fair grounds.
I have no concern about the method anyone uses or if it is all metal, Iron Mask, or Screens. I use all depending on the site mostly. I actually combine all the methods into my attempt to find as much as I can.
I think we it works well to first search by Tones then use the other dispalys in any way or combination that does the trick for each user.

Have a good one,
