QUESTION FOR BEACH AND SURF HUNTERS.

IS THE WHITES SURF PI PRO A GOOD CHOICE FOR BEACH HUNTING.OR IS THE BEACH HUNTER ID BETTER FOR THE BEACH.WHICH ONE RUNS SMOOTHER? THANKS FOR THE HELP.

...if you plan on hitting the wet sand as well as the dry sand then I would recommend the BHID because it will allow you discrimination in the dry stuff. If you are going to stay in the wet stuff or go in the water then I would recommend the PI Pro (which I also use). It is very sensitive to gold and has all out power. However, you will dig everything from safety pins to rust spots. If you try to use it in the dry stuff you will probably wear yourself out. Also take into consideration that the BHID was designed for beach hunting. The PI Pro was designed for underwater and when you use it for beachhunting you are not using it (really) for what it was designed for. Now, with that being said, I have recently started using the Minelab Excalibur. I feel that it can go toe to toe with the BHID. It's hard to match the raw depth of a PI. All three of these are badazz metal detectors and whichever one you pick you can't go wrong. Out of the three that I mentioned (and have experience with) I would choose between the BHID or the Excal.

I recently purchased a Detectorpro Head Hunter PI and I am very happy with it. It has some amazing depth, is really light weight, and it is reasonably priced.
It is a good unit to look into before you buy.

Happy Hunting!
