Question for anybody that hunts with F75...

Have you ever had a problem with the LCD screen getting dinged or scratched up from hunting in the brush? I got one recently and it looks like I might be better off putting on the foul weather cover for extra protection when I go in the woods.

Dings and scratches are normal on a machine that can take it. When I took a good look at the plastic on the faceplate of the F75 and pushed on it a little it was just a little softer than I would have expected. A little thicker plastic wouldn't have added any appreciable weight and would protect the front of the machine a little better. I'm going to need to devise a better clear protector that doesn't interfere with the button and knob. It'll protect resale value as well (if it ever comes to that).

A tempered, glass screen would be nice.
Be sure to let us know what you come up with. I'm always interested in better protection for my detectors.

I use Palm screen protectors on all my detectors that have a screen. You can cut them to fit. I use them on my Blackberry too, they are cheap and they work well.
