Question for any Silver Sabre uMax user???

Bill M

New member
I just got a large coil (10 X 12) for my old Silver Sabre uMax. Is this coil going to give me more depth for all targets (coins and relics)? I haven't used this unit for several years. Have only used the stock coil in the past. Any info would help. Thanks

Yes it works great. Have not experienced any drop in sensitivity detecting smaller items like thumb tacks at 8" either. Pinpoint is right on as well. Really likes to pull out deep silver dimes. If you are looking for a drawback it would be the weight, but no real issue really unless you are picky. If I am not using the CleanSweep then the 10x12 is installed. Also is very stable and can usually run near max boost. You should really like it! Good luck!

Yep in most cases depending on your ground expect depth increase along with extreme coverage. Really does what it was designed for but is a little weighty compared to your stock coil...

I agree with what's been posted. The only likely problem will be chatter if you hunt in soil that is mineralized enough to be beyond the preset ground balance setting. A good excuse to add a Banditio II or Eldorado
