Question, Do any other manifactures make coils for Tesoro Metal Detectors ?

I have seen after market coils for other machines (whites - minelab) but haven't seen any for Tesoro metal detectors. Anybody know of any ?

I think those are mostly for the PI market and are quite a bit more expensive than coils for the Tesoro by Tesoro. The only aftermarket coils I've seen made for VLF detectors are the SEF style. $110 for a coil is cheap, I know because I make my own for the Whites TDI (PI machine). Most needed sizes are covered by the company and its doubtful that an aftermarket firm could make much of a profit competing with Tesoro.

Thanks for the reply Ism,

I had seen some 1/2 size (bigfoot style) coils ( say 9 x 1 3/4 wide, because bigfoots were to big (long) to legaly use ) for metal detectors at some of the coinshoots.

Don't remember which brand of detector had them though. But I thought for coinshooting & canned hunts they were pratical & lightweight, because you weren't digging deep holes only detecting near surface targets.

Tesoro, does'nt have any of that size or design.

There seems to be huge aftermarket support in coils for PI machines. The Tesoro has a 10x5DD coil that might fit your needs. It has coverage almost from tip to toe and is light. I have one and love it.

It fails compared to the stock coil, however it gets adequate depth for most coin and jewelry hunting. I did a quick air-test on a merc dime (I haven't air-tested in a while), It was a solid 6" with sens@10 and disc just above iron. With disc at max, I got a respectable 5-1/2" but 6" was still breaking the silence. With my stock concentric I can get an additional 2" or more.
