Question could someone look

yesterday i took my 70 to a local beach hunted found some.... when i was done thought I'd wipe it down and get the loose sand off i looked in the headphone jack ,it looks like i may not have a nut on it. can someone check to see if one belongs in there or is it just threaded.. i bought it new and know i didn't take it off Pat

you would think that there should be one to further weather proof the unit because i can see into the "guts"thanks anyone else same or different

I'm sure they are all the same but don't you have a rubber environmental cover over this headphone jack? Unless you are wallowing in a mud pit, it shouldn't be a problem. Heck I end up just letting my detector lie sideways on the ground when I am digging a target. I noticed the other day it alway falls to one side or the other. Too light of a machine I guess (not complaining, love the weight).

yes have the dust cover but with the headphones plugged in the cover is open also when i dig well sometimes i get carried away LOL dirt flies
