Whats the difference between fast and deep recovery??? All you guys are a great help to me reading all the different questions and answers!! Thanx Again

Fast means that you will get a fast response signal to a target.. Deep means that you will get a longer signal on the deeper coins. I turn both on and see no adverse affect.

fast recovery.... when you pass your coil along the ground and you pass over a target that the computer picks up it locks on that target and computes what it is, and resets the computer for the next target. well when running with fast recovery off, the computer takes a while to reset itself, therefore when passing the coil over a junk target it will lock in on the junk, and not reset itself quick enough to pick up the coin right beside it, and if you run with the fast recovery on, the computer will reset itself alot quicker therefore picking up the coin right beside the junk target. so fast recovery is something you will always want to run, just in case your not swinging the coil at turtle speed...

Fast is for the trashier areas where there are targets closer together so it can read one and reset itself to another. The ID isnt as accruate as it only has a quick look at the target. Now the deep it takes a little longer to analize the target, but it takes a better look at it to give you a better ID and to be used in area where the targets are not as close together so it can get a good look at it.
I run mostly in fast as i do a lot of parks and there is more trash there.
