Question about this site and crosshairs..

The crosshairs on my xs are starting to "stick". The tone changes but the crosshairs stay on last tone and sometimes won't change until I lift coil in the air. I'm still running in factory preset. Is this something to worry about? Is there something I can do to stop this? Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks for your input.... Also how long is this site going to last? Seems I read it will only last 1 month? Thanks again....D.

I'm new to this but all I know is that the cross hairs are much slower than the audio. I believe they stay at the last target readout until you go across another...I could be wrong. I hear that this site will only be up for a month or so too. -Dave

scroll down to frozen crosshairs Nov 26&27 I have the same problem in trashy areas.

although I am not in a position to say it IS...I believe it is meant to stay here as long as Guv is alive.
as to crosshairs........in a trashy area..they do tend to stick on the last tone in high trash..lowering the sensitivity (substanstially) seems to unstick them in that type of hunting. if you are hunting in a relatively clean area....and they are sticking a bunch...I would be at a loss. they should move immediately AFTER the tone.
(which took me a while to get used to as well.)

The area was very, very trashy. Thank goodness all is well with my machine. Also I'm very glad to hear about this site staying up..Thanks again..D

Hi Daylight
The crosshairs are slower than the audio. The crosshairs will stay there until you get another tone. The reason you have to lift the coil to get them to move is that you are over a target that you have discriminated out. They come back when you lift the coil because you're moving it away from the target that is dicriminate out, You will notice that when they move your thresh hold also returns. HH Butch
