Question about the Quickdraw 2

New member
I recenlty bought one second hand and was wondering if the buttons make sounds when you push them (disc/notch and autonotch) they do on my 505 but i hear nothing on the quickdraw. Im curious to know id the machine has issues or if that particular model didnt make audio keypress tones.

Thanks in advance.

it makes noises when i detect something just not when i press the buttons to change mode, so volume is not a problem

Well mine isn't a Quickdraw but a Landstar and definately beeps when pushing any mode button.

my pioneer 202(same as the quick draw)dont make any noises when i push the buttons.i dont know if its supposed to or not.i just turn it on,set my sens and disc and go.

Other than powerup tones, my Time Ranger is quiet and probably your Quick Draw is too, but some other models make a lot of tones with all the confirmation sounds they make as you power them up and adjust them.

ok thanks for the input guys, I actually have tested it and now know the buttons work and apparently it does not make sound when they are pressed as you stated, my 505 does so it must have been added in the features of the newer models.

Modes should show up on the lower display as an indicator you got the button pushed. Whether your detector beeps or not, it's always good to confirm the expected response. Toss down a rejected item and also a good target to make sure the machine is performing as expected. I've I hunted many feet of hillside only to later notice I had disc cranked up or maybe left it in program mode with only a blinking cursor waiting for the final button press. I kinda thought that hill seemed barren of targets when my detector never made a peep! Done there, been that! ;-)
