Question about the new Garrett Pro-Pointer AT

Received my new Garrett Pro-Pointer AT the other day and I'm having trouble being able to set it on vibration. From the directions I should be able to set it for sound only and then be able to set it on vibration only. It did go on vibration once but I had an awful time getting it back to just sound. I'm hoping it's just something I'm doing wrong, and not something wrong with the pinpointer, has anyone else had this problem ? I would appreciate any info. as to what might be wrong.

It gives a good tutorial on the mode switching and switch operation.

The Garrett Pro-Pointer has two modes of alert. One is Viberate and Tone at the same time or Viberate only for silent.

I get the vibrate with tone ok, but can't get just the vibrate without the tone. I plan on using it in water and only need the vibrate. What am I missing ?

It seems like either you are missing the fact that the last 3 of the 6 setup options are the silent only settings.
OR
the unit is not working properly

the first 3 settings are sensitivity for sound + vibrate, confirmation is with 1, 2 or 3 tones (audio + vibrate)

the last 3 settings are sensitivity for vibrate only, confirmation is with 1, 2 or 3 vibrations only an NO audio

Keep in mind that when you enter setup mode you start at the setting where you previously left it. So the sequence is not always 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 in that order, You must use the confirmation signals to know where you are

Thanks Frank for your input. I tried what you said and it still isn't working. I have a couple of guys in my club that have this pinpointer, I'll have them check it out for me before I return it. It may be like you said, just not workng right.
