Question about the IDX Pro Blacksand switch?

I understand the function of this switch to expand the lower discrimination range but when using it set to the blacksand position on a salt water beach can I use 0 discrimination in disc. mode and still be above a discrimination setting to handle the salt? Thanks!

Have a functional GB setting for the sand that is adjusted as close to the water as possible before encountering the wet sand effect, then use the Discrimination adjustment to take care of this low conductive wet salts challenge

Bob the coil toward and away from the wet salty beach.
