General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

I have a question about the trades on this forum.
I have a detector my girlfriend hates...A gold quest SS. I sold her beloved fisher impulse and really surprised her with something she should have loved. It is a better unit but she loved the two controls of the fisher.
Anyways to the question..How is it you can trade with total confidence here?
I suppose at one point there is a leap of faith, but I can see no guarranties of a trade situation. am I right?

Just read the forum.and you can tell the good guys and most are..so few crooks here on the findmall...
Most are up standing fine people who will bend over to help a fellow detectorist. Just read forum, get phone numbers, and do not deal with unknowns. In your case you will have to show faith and send first since you have no feedback..(Expect it).........You will have few problems if any..about the worst is UPS will screw up, or postal service and that is rare. Be very honest with your posts do what you say you will do, and do not try gouging prices................You love dealing here and read the rules of the forum..They must be followed.
 
Thanks..I kind of figured I would have to make the first move. I have a couple choices to make, just keep it as a spare or eBay it (then have to find a fisher) or trade it here.
I sell on ebay(non detector stuff) but what does that say? I have bought twice once with pay pal and once on good faith and no dissapointments, but I still have that little voice that buggs me.
Or am I being paranoid?
 
No..You can get burned..but we police this site ourselves pretty well...............Just do some feedback reading..you'll be fine here..LIke I said most are great people who deal here.
List your item up for trade or sale and see who responds and what they have to trade. You will meet some great people here.
