If it's less sensitive on small items, it's not by
much. I've still found some very small pieces of metal
with the large coil. It basically acts the same as the
stock coil, except that the coverage is larger, and the
depth increases a bit. If you are in a "busy" area, it
can actually be more of a hassle weeding the trash than
the stock coil. Mainly cuz the coverage is larger and
it sees more at one time. Pinpointer masking can become a
problem of the area is really cluttered.
But it is still quite sensitive to small objects.
I've found BB's, and even smaller scraps of metal with the
large coil. When I want to weed through junk, I use the
sniper coil. All of the coils have good and bad points,
depending on where you are hunting. Thats why I have all
three..
I prefer the sniper for trash weeding, but in an
open field that is not too busy, the big coil is the way to
go. More coverage, and about 2 inches more depth than the
stock coil.
