Question about Tesoro 4" X 7" LST coil

Is the four male pin (female metal pinned) 4" X 7" Lobo Super Trac coil a DD or Concentric?
And who here was also looking at getting the coil (you no the one on the big auction site) I didn't think I would win the coil, I placed a bid late last night and went to bed, I just checked on it this morning and found the confirmation email.

It doesn't matter to me which one it is, its a good size for what I want and now its looks like I've got "Two" Tejon's so I can use either, I was just curious about which design the 4" X 7" is.

It's a concentric coil. When I got the LST about 15 years ago I got the small elliptical and 8 inch round coils and used the 4X7 more than the 8 inch or standard coils. Link is to Wayback archives, scroll to bottom of page and it shows the axillary coils that were available for the LST.

Thanks for the information and the link.

Now I'm pretty sure that the early version of the LST used a different coil than the later version of the LST and if I remember right the first version the coil connector was a four pin but the pins were male, the later LST also uses a four pin connector but the pins are female correct?
The later version coil also fits the Tejon or the Delta group correct?
I'm pretty certain about that anyway.

The original Lobo with manual GB used different coils that can't be used with the later model LST. The coil cables for the LST are female pinned and they do work on the HOT series of Tesoro detectors and the Diablo Micro-max. Seems like the original Lobo had a 3"x7" wide-scan coil available but the later LST 3"x7" coil was concentric design only.

There's been several of those on Ebay over the last few months and I ended up with one only to discover that the male/female connections only worked on the early model Diablo and Original Lobo. Fortunately I was able to make a trade with a fella that needed one of those for 8.5" 5pin DD which will work on all the current and near current umax models.

The one I got is pictured with having 4 metal female pin plug! I've seen those others your talking about, the pins on them are 4 metal male pins.

Hope it works for you. I use a 4X6 in trashy areas with my MXT and I really can nose out the goodies from the trash.
