question about SOV GT, lower rod and after market coils.

I have a stock upper arm rest and rod. No lower rod and no search coil for my sovereign GT.
I want to by and SEF or a NEL coil and a lower rid.
The thing is that I do not like the stock sovereign lower rod and tear drop coil washers. Is their a lower rod by a 3rd party or different manufacturer that will fit as a lower rod for the upper stick GT assembly. And are the almost universal with an SEF or NEL coils.
Thank you.
Jason

Thanks for the reply fish finder.

I guess it would have been easier to ask if lower rods made by whites or any other manufacture would fit in my sovereign upper shaft and arm rest section while having a NEL coil on the lower rod. I have an upper rod and arm rest made by rods by pluggers for my gt and love it.

I think Anderson sells them as well..... check out that free bay. the are around $30 for either cortex or Anderson.... shipped. Sponsor will do the same for you on here im sure. If you are looking for a cheap way out .... yes Whites tall boy works, but you have to add more rubber washers or a larger one. I used one on my Xcal i got from Plunger.

No problem Jason.

I just measured the O.D. of a couple of Sovereign lowers I have here at the shop.
One measured .750, so right at 3/4",.... the other measured .740, so just under 3/4".
Many of the makers go with 3/4" diameter lowers.
The distance between the ears of a SunRay 5" coil I have here is .880, just over 7/8".
The distance between the ears of a Seasearch coil I have here is close to .900.
The distance between the ears of Tesoro coils is close to .750, but the spring clips are parallel to the hole in the ears.
(double spring clip)
Fisher CZ-6A uses a 3/4" O.D. lower with a single spring clip at 90 deg to the hole in the coil ears.

A Sovereign lower uses a single spring clip at 90 deg to the hole in the ears of the coil.

Let me check something......................

Here are some affordable lowers, some priced as low as $10.00

You may have to use thicker rubber washers on a common lower.
Depending on which lower you choose you may have to re-drill the holes and use a single spring clip. Or grind off one button.

You'll have to do some checking, but it sounds doable on a budget.
