Is there a probe like a thin long screw driver that when you push it in the ground and it touches metal or coin that a bulb in the handle lights up.Need for a place were you have to be careful about digging,When i pinpoint a coin would like to be able to push probe in ground till it touches coin so i know exactly were it is for extraction.Would like it to be about 10 inches long and thin any answer. Thanks

Fred, I use a vibra Probe. I did some research before I bought it and here is what I liked; no switch, hold it straight up and it turns on, it turns itself off after a minute. Probe is attached to the handle real secure, you feel it vibrate when near metal, only probes straight out from the tip so you know how close and what direction. You can get them on Ebay (cheapest) for $80-$110. Check them out.

Think he is talking about a different kind of probe, one you shove into the ground until you hit the target.

Hi Fred.
Kellyco sell exactly what you are looking for.It is called a Cache Probe CP200.It has a thin steel probe that is 8inches long (thin as a screw driver) and it beeps when you come into contact of a metal object. It retails for $165.95.Personally I use a Pocket UniProbe, which can hit a coin at 5inches.There is also the Sunray inline probe that can hit a coin at about 3inches.
Whatever you choose,good luck.
