QUESTION ABOUT PAYPAL PROTECTION DO YOU HAVE ANY PROTRCTION OUTSIDE E-BAY WHEN YOU BUY A DETECTOR OUTSIDE E-BAY ARE YOU COVERED AND WILL PAYPAL REIUMBURSE YOU FOR THE MONEY LOST ON THE DEAL IF THE PERSON DOESN'T SEND YOU THE DETECTOR. THANK YOU

Paypal is owned by eBay. You'll get about the same level of support from either of them. Your best protection is your credit card provider (never give out your bank routing info to ebay/paypal). If you holler FRAUD, your CC company will back you even if the others don't. Never pay a CC bill in full if you haven't received the merchandise (there are some minor exceptions to this, eg ordering from Asia, etc).

(you might want to turn off your CAPS KEY as a lot of folks wont read an all caps post; its considered shouting in the realm of internet etiquette.)

I don't mind the caps writing , I have low level hearing loss and it helps me to see the post as my eye's aren't what they used to be ,,,:)

Your question is a good one. Ebay and Paypal (same) change their policies quite frequently so it is very difficult to keep up with it all. I never use the Paypal-Gift option I'd rather pay the extra 3%. A little protection is better than zero protection. Using Paypal-Gift is telling Paypal that you are freely sending money with no exchange of goods. If the seller turns out to be crooked you are at a loss. I didn't really answer your question. I will say if you do purchase something its better to keep all emails, ect....until the transaction is completely precessed and both parties are satisfied. Document everything, it will be a life saver if you get a bad seller or buyer.
