Question about left over batteries

kickback

New member
It has been below zero every night here for a week.I fear my metal detecting is over until spring. My question is do you do anything special with rechargeable batteries if you are storing them over winter.Signed "Frozen in Montana" Thanks

Put them away with a full charge and recharge every month or so. For long term storage keeping them in a cool area will slow their natural discharge rate.

Tom

Tom, that is the exact advice I got from the place I get my rechargeables from. I have been doing this for over 5 years with no ill effects. R.L.
