Question about John Adams Presidental Token

I found this token a while ago while metal detecting. On Monday I was taking a few pics of items I have had just sitting around waiting to be looked at further. When I was viewing the pics of this John Adams 2nd President U.S.A. token I noticed what looked liked doubling on some of the letters of the Obverse and the date. I blew the pics up closer and noticed that it looks more like the letters and date in question have been repunched rather then doubling. I'm looking for opinions and information on the token in general. I have been able to find very limited information on the token itself. From what I have found...the coin was produced in the early part of the 20th century. I will show the information I have found as well as pics of the suspected repunched letters/numbers. If anyone has any information as to wether this is common for this token or not...I would greatly appreciate any information.

I've found three different sizes.of president tokens, several like the one on the left in the photo. three like the one on the right in the photo but only the one of the large aluminum tokens. The one on the left is almost the same diameter as a half dollar, the one on the left is about the same diameter as a quarter. I think the one of the left in the photo is from the same token set as yours, the large aluminum token is from a later set and the one on the right predates the other two. Don't remember which, and I may be wrong, but I believe the one on the left is from a Shell oil company give away in the early 1970's.

Hi JB. All 3 of the tokens you have in the pic are different then the one I have.

Here is a larger pic of the Obverse and Reverse:

There are some on eBay that look just like yours. The seller claims it was made by the Osborne Coinage Co., in Cincinnati. It would be from a set that finished with Ike in 1953. There was also a game called "Meet the Presidents" that came out in the 50's, I think those game pieces were made from the same dies. I also saw some with the same obverse and advertising on the reverse.

Here is som information I have been able to find for the token. It appears that it was once plated.
